A primeira corrida da época | First race of the season

Os rapazes são rivais desde os escalões inferiores e competem um contra o outro há vários anos. São o maior obstáculo e o maior desafio um do outro. Respeitam-se, ao mesmo tempo que se odeiam.

Têm corrido por clubes diferentes, mas esta época estão na mesma equipa, o que torna tudo ainda mais desafiante: se por um lado são sobretudo rivais, por outro há que pensar no resultado como equipa e isso pode tornar tudo ainda mais difícil.

A pista está ao rubro. Nas bancadas, os amigos e famílias vieram apoiar os atletas na primeira corrida da época. Os treinadores de bancada falam já em alguns nomes para possíveis campeões, mas ainda é muito cedo e ninguém arrisca com certezas.

Faz-se silêncio na pista, pois a corrida está prestes a começar. Nos segundos que antecedem o sinal de partida, quase se conseguem ouvir os corações descompassados de atletas e apoiantes. Que vença o melhor!

 

The boys have been rivals since the lower divisions and have been competing against each other for several years. They are each other's biggest obstacle and greatest challenge. They respect each other, while simultaneously hating each other.

The track is buzzing. In the stands, friends and families came to support the athletes in the first race of the season. The stand-coaches are already talking about some potential champions, but it's still very early, and no one is taking any chances with certainty.

The track becames silent, as the race is about to begin. In the seconds before the starting signal, you can almost hear the racing hearts of athletes and supporters. May the best man win!
