Avô e neta | Grandfather and grandaughter

E lá vão eles para mais uma pescaria. Quem fica no cais, reza, benze-se e recita cantilenas várias destinadas a proteger quem parte. Quem parte, já vai de cabeça e braços mergulhados nas mil e uma tarefas que é necessário fazer para preparar tudo. 

Avô e neta fazem uma equipa como há muito não se via. A miúda é forte e corajosa e já conquistou o coração dos pescadores mais duros, que sempre disseram ao avô que o lugar dela não era ali. Hoje aceitam-na e até parecem conformados que ela tome o lugar do avô como mestre da embarcação. 

Que vão, e que voltem são e salvos, de regaço cheio de peixe!

 

There they go, for another fish trip. The one's who stay in the peer pray, bless themselves and whisper all sort of chants, destined to protect those who leave. Those whoe leave are already with their heads and hands busy on the several things that there are to do, in order to prepare all for the fishery.

Grandfather and grandaughter make a team as never saw before. The girl is strong and brave and already conquered the heart of the most tough pisherman, that always told to the grandfather, that that was not her place. Today they accept her and even seem resigned that she will take grandfather's place in beeing the master of the ship.

May they go, and may tehy come back safe and sound, with ther harms full of fish!
