Havia inúmeros indícios que apontavam para o naufrágio de um dos navios ao serviço do faraó na baía. Evidências claras eram poucas, e pistas óbvias ainda menos, pelo que o navio do faraó permaneceu intocável no fundo da baía durante muito tempo.

Felizmente, e numa parceira inédita nestas coisas da arqueologia, os dois egiptólogos mais famosos do mundo, uniram esforços e juntaram as suas equipas, que trabalharam incessantemente nos indícios existentes. Reviram a bibliografia, passaram a pente fino cada alfarrabista e coleccionador especializado no egipto por todo o mundo, descobrindo mais pistas que consolidaram a hipótese do naufrágio e que justificou o investimento na realização de mergulhos de prospecção.

E após vários dias de fracassos, surge o sucesso! O navio do faraó foi encontrado! O primeiro mergulho trouxe à superfície dezenas de artefactos da época e os mergulhadores dizem haver bem mais. 

Neste momento, todos os elementos das equipas que se encontram espalhados pelo mundo, estão a fazer as malas e a embalar o material necessário para analisar o que está a ser encontrado, e a convergir para o local da descoberta.

Fortunately, and in an unprecedented partnership in these matters of archaeology, the two most famous egyptologists in the world joined forces and brought their teams together, working tirelessly on the existing evidence. They reviewed the bibliography, meticulously examined every antiquarian bookstore and collector specialized in Egypt worldwide, discovering more clues that consolidated the shipwreck hypothesis and justified the investment in exploratory dives.

And after several days of setbacks, success arrived! The pharaoh's ship was found! The first dive brought to the surface dozens of artifacts from the period, and the divers say there are many more.

At this moment, all the team members scattered around the world are packing their bags and gathering the necessary equipment to analyze what is being found, and converging on the discovery site.
