O passeio | The ride

 

O passeio estava programado há muito. Ainda mesmo antes de as motorizadas chegarem. Ainda eles apenas sonhavam com as motas e já sabiam qual seria o seu primeiro passeio. Imaginaram o dia perfeito e falaram dele vezes sem conta, enquanto faziam uma pausa nos estudos; enquanto comiam qualquer coisa rápida no refeitório da faculdade; ou mesmo cochichando nas aulas super aborrecidas. 

A promessa não foi dita, mas estava sentida e isso torna tudo mais sério. Nenhum queria falhar!

Ela foi a primeira a ter a sua vespa verde-lima. Focada no seu objectivo, mal terminou o curso e começou a trabalhar, poupou cada moeda e num instante a conseguiu comprar. Ele, menos focado e meio perdido entre as responsabilidades do trabalho, demorou mais uns meses a conseguir a sua vespa azul-garrafão. 

Hoje foi o dia de honrar a promessa que nunca foi pronunciada, mas à qual os seus corações estavam comprometidos desde sempre. E foi um dia feliz, exactamente como planearam e com uma sensação final de uma conquista inacreditável! Agora sim, a vida podia começar a sério!

The ride had been planned for a long time. Even before the motorbikes arrived. They were still only dreaming about the motorbikes and already knew what their first ride would be. They imagined the perfect day and talked about it countless times, while taking a break from studying; while grabbing a quick bite in the university cafeteria; or even whispering in super boring classes.

The promise wasn't spoken, but it was felt, and that makes everything more serious. Neither wanted to fail!

She was the first to get her lime-green Vespa. Focused on her goal, as soon as she finished her course and started working, she saved every penny and in an instant managed to buy it. He, less focused and somewhat lost among the responsibilities of work, took a few more months to get his bright blue Vespa.

Today was the day to honor the promise that was never spoken, but to which their hearts had always been committed. And it was a happy day, exactly as they planned, with a final feeling of unbelievable achievement! Now, life could truly begin!
