Quando for grande quer ser pirata | Wanna be a pirate when i growm up

 

Sim, eu sei que ainda sou uma criança, mas já tenho a certeza do que quero ser quando for grande: PIRATA! Reconheço cada navio pirata que faz escala neste porto, ainda mal se vêem as velas ou o casco e sei o nome de todos os piratas das tripulações mais intrépidas. 

Sou eu que ajudo a preparar os reabastecimentos, sempre que algum desses navios pára por aqui. Quando isso acontece, subo a bordo, ajudo a arrumar tudo e a dar uma grande limpeza ao navio. Depois, vou ter com os piratas à taberna do cais e por ali fico a ouvir as suas histórias, até que eles estejam tão bêbados, que já não se consegue perceber nado do que dizem! Que aventuras fantásticas eles vivem! Quem me der ser já crescido!

Eu vou ser o melhor pirata que já se conheceu, mas não vou ficar tantas vezes bêbado como eles. E vou andar mais limpo do que eles. E vou comer fruta, porque não quero ficar sem dentes como eles! Vai ser o máximo!

Yes, I know I'm still a child, but I'm already sure of what I want to be when I grow up: A PIRATE! I recognize every pirate ship that calls at this port, even before you can see the sails or the hull, and I know the names of all the pirates from the most intrepid crews.

I'm the one who helps prepare the resupply whenever one of those ships stops here. When that happens, I go aboard, help tidy everything up, and give the ship a thorough cleaning. Then I go to the pirates at the dockside tavern and listen to their stories until they're so drunk you can't understand a word they're saying! What fantastic adventures they live! I wish I were grown up already!

I'll be the best pirate anyone ever knew, but I won't get drunk as often as they do. And I'll be cleaner than they are. And I'll eat fruit because I don't want to lose my teeth like them! It'll be awesome!
