Os rapazes queriam obviamente ir jogar à bola. Já as meninas preferiam ir andar de bicicleta. Parecia não haver consenso e o grupo estava à beira de se dividir em dois. Até que o Josué largou a ideia: e se fossem fazer uma corrida de carrinhos no pontão ao pé da praia. E se o dia ficasse quente o suficiente, ainda poderiam molhar os pés.

Ao princípio ninguém pareceu ligar muito à ideia do elemento mais pequeno do grupo, mas depois, um a um, lá foram aceitando a ideia, até que os donos do carro, correram para casa, para ir buscar os carrinhos e já agora, pedir autorização aos pais. Os restantes desapareceram também, discutindo os melhores argumentos para os pais os deixarem ir, de forma rápida e sem grandes perguntas.

E foi assim que a tarde se transformou numa animada competição, com várias eliminatórias, até à vitória final do Josué, que mesmo sendo o mais pequenito do grupo, foi o vencedor incontestado da tarde, que celebrou a sua vitória a molhar os pés, no pontão da praia.

Until Josseph dropped the idea: what if they had a go-kart race on the pier by the beach? And if the day got warm enough, they could even get their feet wet.

At first, no one seemed to pay much attention to the idea of ​​the smallest member of the group, but then, one by one, they accepted the idea, until the owners of the car ran home to get the go-karts and, while they were at it, ask their parents for permission. The rest also disappeared, discussing the best arguments for their parents to let them go, quickly and without many questions.

And that's how the afternoon turned into a lively competition, with several elimination rounds, until Joseph’s final victory, who, even being the smallest in the group, was the undisputed winner of the afternoon, celebrating his victory by getting his feet wet on the beach pier.
